Humes COVID-19 Response

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement yesterday to move to Alert Level 4 as of Wednesday 25 March, all Humes manufacturing and distribution sites began planning to comply with this directive. Effective from 5pm today Tuesday 24 March, all Humes sites will be closed and will remain closed for at least the next four weeks, or until such time that the Level 4 Alert is revised.

To ensure that the effectiveness of the Alert Level 4 response is not compromised across NZ, only in an emergency situation relating to an essential service/utility provider (services immediately needed to maintain human health and safety at home/work) is a Humes Branch/Site Manager allowed to open a Humes branch/site and service essential product needs (e.g. a major burst watermain/sewer, a railway derailment).  This will be reviewed on an ongoing basis as information from the government is received. Our Branch/Site Managers will follow strict processes and protocols (including physical distancing) if they need to manage an essential service/utility request.

For further updates and access to the emergency contact details of your nearest Humes Branch/Site Manager, please go to www.humes.co.nz

Thank you for your continued support and stay safe out there.

Kind regards,

Stu Henwood
General Manager
