Humes COVID-19 Level 2 Response

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday to move to Level 2 from Thursday 14 May, effective from 7am on Thursday 14 May all Humes distribution sites across NZ (i.e. sales branches) will be open and safely operating under Level 2 conditions. All sites have been safely operating under the tighter Level 3 conditions since Tuesday 28 April, and all staff are familiar with the upcoming Level 2 conditions.   
Thank you for your patience and support during Level 3 when you and/or your teams have entered one of our sites during the last two weeks.  I’ve heard really positive feedback that the planning and coordination in advance has certainly assisted with a quick and efficient, in-branch service model. Like Level 3, under Level 2 I would like to give you the continued assurance that for any Humes staff and/or contractors (delivery drivers included) entering your site(s), that they will comply with any and all Level 2 considerations you have. 
Humes Covid-19 Level 2 Plan for all sites include a continued focus on hygiene (incl. regular site cleaning and hand sanitation), physical distancing (incl. a maximum number of customers inside the sales branch building, then on a ‘1 in, 1 out’ basis), and contact tracing ability (upon entering a Humes site, everybody will be required to register their contact details through using a quick, QR code digital process via their smartphone). Through Level 3 we have been successfully contact tracing via a manual register however with increased traffic levels under Level 2 we’ll be moving to the QR code process from Monday 18 May. A Humes staff member will be available to assist you or your staff with this process, including logging the required details if you or your team do not have smartphone access or availability.       
To minimise time spent at our sales branches, like you have been during Level 3, under Level 2 we are still encouraging you to email or call all product orders into the Humes Branch with a preferred collection time. This enables picking and packing to be completed in advance, with product placed in a designated pickup location outside the branch for quick and efficient transit. Under Level 2 the entrance/exit gates will now be open, and entry into the branch for self-picking will now be allowed for all customers (up to a maximum number), with Level 2 hygiene and physical distancing conditions applying. For any further specific questions or considerations on our Covid-19 Level 2 Plan, please direct these to your local Humes representative. A summary version of Humes Covid-19 Level 2 Plan can also be provided to you if required (on request).
